The program

1st day Saturday
Trogir – Vis 27 Nm

Lipanović Winery

“Our plavac mali is the only plavac from sand and those plavac from sand are – the first division!”
These are the words of our first host, Antonio Lipanović, whose winery is located in a military bunker, where we will have the opportunity to taste the wines of this house.

Inn Airport

In the very heart of Vis, on Plisko polje, in a charmingly restored house, the Aerodrom inn is located.
It got its name from the Allied airfield from World War II, next to which it is located. Ideally in passing a place for meze and a glass of Vugave (Bugave) autochthonous variety from Vis.

Rocky’s Winery

Roki’s winery and tavern is one of the most popular places on Vis. Unpretentious arrangement, with the famous Vis “pomalo” taste, traditional local cuisine and the best peko on the island.
They have a 200-year-long family tradition of wine production, and as legend has it, the first Rocchi arrived from Genoa during the Napoleonic Wars. In the early 1980s, they were among the first in Croatia to start bottling their wines, and in 1998 the family produced their first sparkling wine, Smash, and with the increase in tourism on Vis, a tavern was opened in the yard of the house and a modern wine cellar was built within the restaurants.

Tavern Mostir

In addition to the remains of a Roman villa and looted ships in the sea, the Mostir bay contains the ruins of the Dominican monastery, built at the end of the 15th century, and the church of Our Lady of Mercy.

3rd day Monday
Šćedro – Korčula 23 Nm

Popić, Bire and Zure wineries – Lumbarda

What makes them stand out and different from the others is that these are family “boutique” wineries and all three are dedicated to growing the only female grape variety. We are talking about a Greek whose home is in Lumbarda, more precisely on the sandy vineyards of the Lumbara field.
It is one of the oldest autochthonous grape varieties, whose name, according to legend, comes from the ancient Greeks who founded their colony here at the beginning of the 4th century BC.

Agrotourism-Winery Zure and Bire are the two wineries that were the first to win the Platinum Decanter for Croatian wines. Thus, the two biggest awards from the world’s most prestigious wine competition ended up in the neighborhood,
house to house, so to speak. This is the so-called triumph of terroir and confirmation of the great potential of the Greeks in this section of the Lumbaraj field and the rocky Defora – the South side of the island.

Winery Popić
Also a small family winery, where we come for tasting and serving, with the most beautiful view of
enchanting Lumbara field.
